Celestial Bodies
Suddenly everything stopped moving and there was complete silence…
Our eyes met, there was something between us that wasn’t there a moment ago. I was having a ‘moment’. I don’t think I’ve ever noticed anyone the way I was noticing her. Sunlight filtered through her hair, making it look like an angelic halo around her head. A thousand of emotions ran through her face, which I could barely understand. Her eyes were black and mysterious, with long sultry lashes. I could imagine myself staring into them and finding all my stars in her enigmatic galaxy. Her skin is warm and glowing brown, almost like she was showered with pixie dust. Her lips are full and shell pink, the perfect shape that I have been searching for. Her hair smell like spring rain, ready to bear fresh lilies!
I get a kind of déjà vu, or rather the opposite of it. Instead of feeling I was repeating something in the past, it felt like I was experiencing something in my future. I had a strange happy feeling which I couldn’t describe. It was similar to the feeling of knowing all the lyrics of a song but still finding them beautiful and startling.
As a struggling poet, I really had to put a lot of thought in each poem I composed but when I saw her, a poem created itself in my heart. It wasn’t love at first sight, closer to love at second sight. It is like when you meet someone you would fall in love with, you may not love them at the very moment but it’s inevitable that you would.
My heart sings to itself,
“Light the dimness with your glow once the full moon dips,
And shine in the sun’s stead, while the lazy dawn tarries.
Your radiance outdoes the brightest sun there be,
For it can never thieve your smile, nor steal your pearly aura.”
From the cosmic movements, I discover all my answers, to the questions which rose from the recent event. The universe was at blame; it was making all this happen. We all have a place in the universe in the form of a celestial body, a mass of elements and magic that rules our actions on earth! Stars of the firmament were splitting and merging, increasing their powers exponentially that would lead to further collisions! Collisions of celestial bodies, the respective celestial bodies that levitated above me and Soreya. Since billions of years we were rotating and revolving in multiverses, but at this point we were the closest to each other. We were about to collide, strike, melt into each other to form one mighty whole, a complete ethereal soma. The gravities of our planets exerted strong forces on each other, for we had interfered each other’s orbits. We crash into each other, a supernova; God celebrating our union! New bonds were made, new particles were created, a new celestial body was given birth to, the one that would dominate over both of us!
All my strings got attached to Soreya, which were to be governed by the divine sphere above!
Celestial Bodies - A Poem
Sunlight filtering through her hair,
An angelic halo,
Garnering a public stare!
Black and mysterious eyes,
Long sultry lashes,
Looking wondrous and wise.
A strange happy feeling which I could not describe,
Like dancing in fresh rain,
Or welcoming myself in a paradise!
The universe is at blame,
For all my feelings and emotions,
No matter how serious or lame.
The celestial bodies above,
Rule us,
They collide and leave hints about true love.
Rotating and revolving since billions of years,
They were closest to each other right now,
Making souls attract, mine and hers.
Crashing into each other,
Like a supernova in the multiverse,
Creating a new bond to discover!
